Dental Hygienists
Jill
Jill was raised in Spencer, Iowa where in her first job as a dental assistant she discovered her love of the dental field. Jill attended Des Moines Area Community College, graduating as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She immediately became the first dental hygienist hired by our growing practice. As part of the Berkshire family, she has shared with coworkers and patients the joys of her marriage to Stan, the birth of three daughters and the recent thrill of bringing home a new puppy, Heidi. Her family and she enjoy time together, movies and travel. Jill feels fortunate to be working in the same practice for many years. She has seen families grow, children complete an education, careers launch, retirements begin and she finds gratitude in the continuity of their relationships.
Marcie
Marcie received her education at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota and has been part of Berkshire Dental for 16 years. She has 2 children, a son and daughter. Marcie leads an active life, enjoying running, riding RAGBRAI for ten consecutive years and watching the many sports activities in which both children compete. Marcie is a dynamo, always willing to go the extra mile for her patients.
Karen
Karen earned her BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Iowa and has been with Berkshire Dental since 2003. Karen and her husband, David, have a 15-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter who attend Waukee schools. Karen just can’t sit still, training and competing in triathlons, running and cycling events. In her spare time she is an adjunct instructor at DMACC and cooks healthy meals for her family. Karen enjoys working for Berkshire Dental because of its prevention-based philosophy, understanding that a patient’s dental health can be a reflection of overall health.
Jeni
Jeni is the most recent hygienist to join our team; completing her education at Des Moines Area Community College. She and her husband Patrick have two young sons who keep them extremely busy. Along with being a mom, Jeni enjoys reading, shopping and fine dining. Her approach to dental hygiene is refreshing and our patient care is enhanced with her contributions.
